Cold Weather Forecast Pushes I-75 Raceway Winter Championships to January 30-February 1

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) A brutally cold weather forecast - with lows in the 20s - for next week in Sweetwater, Tennessee has pushed back the I-75 Raceway Winter Championships one week to January 30-February 1. The Coltman Farms Racing Southern All Stars Super Late Model Series season lid lifter will headline the action-packed weekend, as a $5,000 top prize will be up for grabs at the Volunteer State venue on Saturday afternoon, February 1.

The Winter Championships weekend will get underway on Thursday night, January 30 with an open practice session for all divisions from 5:00pm-9:00pm. On Friday evening, January 31, competition will get underway at the 3/8-mile oval with Limited Late Model ($1,500 to win), Sportsman ($800 to win), Street Stock ($500 to win), Thunder ($500 to win), Front Wheel Drive ($500 to win), and B-Sportsman ($300 to win) on the racing card. The pit gates on Friday will swing open at 2:00pm, tier parking opens at 3:00pm, and the grandstands open at 4:30pm.

The Drivers Meeting is scheduled to start on Friday at 6:15pm with hot laps slated for 6:30pm and racing action to quickly follow. Admission into the grandstands will be $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for children ages 11-16. Tier parking admission will be $25.00 for adults and $15.00 for children ages 11-16. A pit pass on Friday will be $35.00 for adults and only $20.00 for children ages 11-16. Kids ages 10 and under will be allowed anywhere on the grounds for FREE.

On Saturday afternoon, February 1, the SAS Super Late Models will vie for a $5,000 paycheck in the I-75 Raceway Winter Championships headliner. Joining the ground-pounding Super Late Models in action on Saturday will be the 604 Late Model ($1,500 to win), Open Wheel Modified ($1,500 to win), KMSA/SM4MA Mini Stock ($1,500 to win), 602 Late Model ($800 to win), and Front Wheel Drive ($500 to win) divisions. The pit gates on Saturday will open at 10:00am, while both tier parking and the grandstands will start to allow patrons into those areas starting at 11:00am.

The Drivers Meeting on Saturday will get underway at 12:45pm, hot laps will take to the track at 1:00pm, and the racing action will closely follow. Pit admission for the final day of the Winter Championships will be $40.00 for adults and $20.00 for children ages 11-16. Admission into tier parking will be $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for children ages 11-16. Grandstand admission will be only $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for children ages 11-16. Once again, kids ages 10 and under will be allowed anywhere on the grounds for FREE.
