October 11, 2020 - Southern All Stars to open 2021 season at Screven
The Southern All Stars will kick off its 2021 season at Screven Motorsports Complex in Sylvania, Georgia on February 5th, 2021! The one day event will pay $7,500 to win for the 50 lap event! The 38th year of the series will be apart of the 11th Annual Winter Freeze! We are very excited to also see The Ultimate South East series co-headline this weekend with Kelley Carlton and the Ultimate South East Series as they kick off thier 2021 season with a $10,000 to win event Saturday February 6th! Both Series sincerely appreciate James Griffin "Red" for having us apart of the prestigious Winter Freeze!!

September 28, 2020 - B.J. Parker Memorial at TST Cancelled
Officials at The Talladega Short Track has decided to cancel the Southern All Stars from this weekends race! They will run unsanctioned Supers in its place! Hope to see the drivers there to support this event!

September 26, 2020 - Overton wins Michael Head Jr. Memorial
30 Super Late Models signed in to Senoia Raceway is Senoia, GA for the 23rd Annual Michael Had Jr. Memorial and the crowd was a witness to some exciting 54 laps. (Richard Barnes photo)

Joseph Joiner and Brandon Overton led the group qualifying with Overton fastest. It didn't take long for trouble to find Todd Morrow and Michael Page as the two tangled in turn 3 and 4 with Morrow ending up on his roof on lap 1. Once the red flag was lifted Overton was being pressured by Joiner for the lead. On lap 16, a major crash on the front straight took out current points leader Billy Franklin along with Dalton Cook, John Henderson and Dalton Poston.

September 8, 2020 - Mike Head Jr. Memorial Rescheduled

August 22, 2020 - McIntosh wins thriller in Dirt Slinger Classic
28 Super Late Model drivers showed up at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, TN Saturday night with one uninvited guest also showing up. Mother Nature showed up after hot laps were completed and the great fans hung around and was treated to 50 laps of spectacular racing. (Wells Racing Photography)

Soon after the rain stopped the cars were called to the track for Sunoco Racing Fuels Qualifying. David Crabtree of Maryville, TN was the fastest in Group 1 and Dawsonville, GA Donald McIntosh took fastest in Group 2 and was fastest overall to a slick and fast 1/3rd mile clay surface. <<MORE>>

August 15, 2020 - MILLWOOD POCKETS $10,000.00 IN GOVERNOR CUP

August 11, 2020 - Oglethorpe and Screven added to 2020 slate
The Southern All Stars Series proudly announces two new dates to the 2020 schedule.

The South Georgia Swing is schedule for September 11 and 12 at two tracks that was missed last year due to a hurricane on the Georgia Coast.

Friday, September 11 Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Pooler, GA will host the Patriots Shootout 40. A $4,000.00 to win 40 lapper for the newly reconfigured 3/8th mile paperclip speedway.  <<MORE>>

July 30, 2020 - Southern All Stars 2020 Hall of Fame Inductees Announced
The Southern All Stars Series is pleased to announce the Class of 2020 Hall of Fame Inductees to be enshrined on August 15, 2020 at the 3rd Annual Governors Cup at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL. In addition to inductees going in on the dirt side, we will also be inducting an asphalt group this year as we start off with a stellar group of men for the inaugural class of 2020. <<MORE>>

July 15, 2020 - Southern All Stars / Dirt on Dirt Partnership
The Southern All Star Series now in it 37th year of bringing competitive dirt super late model racing to local short tracks in the south will soon be available in the comfort of your home. and the Southern All Stars has agreed to a multi-year contract to be the primary pay per view host of races.

"We are super excited about this contract with DirtonDirt as they are one of the top dirt broadcasting companies that brings so many races to the fans" said series official Ray Tennyson. "So many fans ask me at the tracks if Dirt on Dirt will be covering the next race that might be too far from the to see in person. Hopefully there will be more yes answers now than no." <<MORE>>

July 14, 2020 - Drivers from Thunderhill rainout on July 4 awarded points
In accordance to the Southern All Stars Series rule book, Section Championship Points, Paragraph G states "If an event is weather cancelled after time trials have commenced all entered drivers will be awarded 30 'show' points."

The track record of 14.031 was the target as several drivers were flirting with the time in the hot laps session. The laps that count is qualifying and the crowd would see 2 drivers beat it. <<MORE>>

June 19, 2020 - SAS add ECM Speedway to 2020 slate on July 11th
The Southern All Stars continues to make changes to the 2020 schedule. Due to the WuHan Flu Pandemic that affected everyone, the series continues to work with promoters and track owners to reschedule dates this season.

Series Announcer Dewayne Keith said "With all the tracks having state and local guidelines in place, every track had different rules. We knew once we started back racing we might loose some tracks that just might not be able to fit us into their schedule and we are very appreciative in their efforts. We will definitely be working with them to get them on the 2021 schedule when we start working on it soon." <<MORE>>

June 13, 2020 - Breazeale and Winger winners at Deep South
The Southen All Stars headed South from the Huntsville AL office to the city of Loxley, AL for their first visit to the beautiful Deep South Speedway. Owner/Promoter Billy Roberson has been working to change the once 1/2 mile track into a fast and competitive 3/8 mile clay oval. June 9, 2020 - Duels in Dixie on Deck for SAS at Deep South Speedway
With the threat of Tropical Storm Cristobal now clear of the Gulf Coast, Loxley, Alabama will be next for the Southern All Star Dirt Series for races 3 and 4 of the 2020 season. Deep South Speedway will be hosting the twin Duals in Dixie race June 12 and 13. This is the series first visit to the track.

Deep South Owner Billy Robertson and Series Announcer Dewayne Keith spoke on Wednesday, June 3rd and with the threat of the tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico, both agreed on pushing the date back one week. The forecast seems to be in the favor of racers and fans and the local forecast is calling for a 0% of rain on Friday and a 25% chance for Saturday night.

June 3, 2020 - Duels in Dixie Postponed to June 12th & 13th
This weekend's events at Deep South Speedway has been postponed due to a unfavorable weather prediction! The event will be rescheduled for June June 12th and 13th!

June 1, 2020 - Southern All Stars Duels in Dixie Fast Facts
Race: Duals in Dixie is a two race event. The series has never raced at Deep South Raceway. Friday's race will be a 30 lap feature paying $3,000.00 to win. Saturday's night event will be a 50 lap feature paying $5,000.00 to win 

Procedure: The starting field is set for 24 cars, including 2 provisionals. There will be 2 SUNOCO Race Fuels/Knowles Race Parts qualifying groups with the top 5 from each group locked in. PPM Racing Products B Mains will determine up to 22 starters with the final two spots for highest driver in the 2020 Southern All Star Dirt Racing points standings. <<MORE>>

May 26, 2020 - Host Hotel Announced for Duels in Dixie
The La Quinta Inn in Daphne, AL has rooms available for the Duels in Dixie June 5th and 6th at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL. Room rates are 95 + tax for double occupancy. Mention you are with the Southern All Stars. Deep South has also announced an open practice on Thursday night for drivers wanting to get some laps in early. Here is the information for the hotel. May 24, 2020 - Mayhem 40 at Senoia Postponed to Later Date
Due to the state of Georgia having restrictions of allowing fans in the grandstands, The Mayhem 40 scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia is for now postponed. Both parties will try to find a compatible date to reschedule the race.

"Last year, the series and tracks suffered so many rain outs and now this year the WuHan Flu is dealing havoc for racers, we just have to follow the guidelines put in place by each state and local officials to follow" says Southern All Star official Ray Tennyson. Dewayne Keith, series announcer and Senoia resident, has been following all the guidelines trying to make the race happen, but it just could not be worked out."

The series will be off a week after a huge crowd at Thunderhill Raceway as 35 Southern All Stars took battle in the 2nd race of the season this past Saturday night. The series travels south after a weekend off for two big nights of racing at Deep South Raceway in Loxley, AL for the Duels in Dixie.

May 14, 2020 - Southern All Star Series Announces May 23rd Event at Thunderhill
It has been 74 days since the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series has been on the track for the first race of the season at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffny, SC on March 1st, but as the saying goes, we can see light at the end of the tunnel.

The All Stars and Thunderhill Raceway Park Owner Jason Walker are joining together to get started back up with the 2020 season with the Whooping the Wuhan Flu 50 feature on Saturday night, May 23rd on Memorial Day Weekend. The race will pay $5,000.00 to win the 50 lapper with $400.00 to start. Entry fee is $110.00. Dirt on Dirt will carry the nights event for their subscribers. <<MORE>>

The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series has been busy with race promoters across the south rearranging the 2020 schedule as dates have once again changed due to the Chinese Wuhan Flu epidemic.

March 20, 2020 - Southern All Star Series Announces Schedule Modifications
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series schedule has had some schedule modifications this week. With many racetracks being closed due to the Chinese Wuhan Flu, the series has made the following changes. The race for March 28 has been postponed until another date compatible for the track and series can be made. The April 24th Rockin' with the Stars for Smoky Mountain Speedway is still scheduled at this time. However, the April 25th race at Talladega Short Track scheduled on Talladega Nascar weekend will be postponed. It is with a heavy heart to let my racing family know that long time GM of the Southern All Stars Lynn Acklin has passed way. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers at this time. Arrangements will be posted when available.

March 12, 2020 - Ray Ray Tennyson Named Southern All Star Series Director
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series has officially begun it's 37th year of bringing dirt late model racing across the south. A former champion returned to victory lane March 1st as Dale McDowell picked up the win at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina. Dale's last win came in 2013.

Long time General Manager for the series, Lynn Acklin, is taking a leave of absence for family responsibility. Lynn has been a staple for the series and we wish him and his family the best.

March 1, 2020 - Dale McDowell back in Victory Lane
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab began it’s 37th year of dirt late model racing in the great state of South Carolina on March 1st and a face not seen in the SAS Victory Lane for 13 years was there. Chickamauga, GA driver and former Southern All Star champion Dale McDowell led all 60 laps of the Ginger Owens Memorial as the fans saw great racing between several drivers. The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series and I-75 Raceway officials have changed the date for its race at the Sweetwater, TN., oval to Saturday night July 11th.

The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab made its annual stop at the Talladega Short Track during NASCAR weekend and the race was in honor of the man that started the series B J Parker and in the 42 lap $4,200 to win feature Jason Hiett set fast time and then lead all 40 laps to take the win. September 15, 2019 - SAS Final Three Races Kick Off This Weekend At I-75 Raceway Over $62,000 Up For Grabs
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab has three more races to go for the 2019 season and there will be over $62,000 in prize money up for grabs during those final three events.

The first event will be this Saturday September 21st at the I-75 Raceway in Niota, TN., for the 1st Annual Slinger Classic that will be a 40 lap $4,000 to win event at the tricky 3/8ths mile located between Chattanooga and Knoxville.
